Founder & Head Coach
Mikki Lipson
With more than 20 years of experience in dance education, Mikki Lipson specialises in developing strong technical foundations and the physical qualities that underpin high-level dance performance.
Mikki trained extensively in classical ballet from a young age and was selected for the Australian Ballet School’s Associate Program, before completing her full-time training at Patrick School of the Arts. She went on to work professionally as a performer, with credits including The Boy From Oz starring Todd McKenney, before moving into dance education.
She has since spent many years teaching full-time tertiary-level dance technique at leading Australian performing arts institutions, including Patrick School of the Arts and Dance Force, alongside coaching elite-level and full-time dancers and gymnasts.
Known for her highly analytical eye and attention to detail, Mikki specialises in identifying the physical and technical factors limiting a dancer’s performance and translating these into targeted, progressive training.
Her approach combines decades of dance technique experience with evidence-informed strength and conditioning. Mikki holds ASCA Strength & Conditioning accreditation, is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and has completed postgraduate studies in psychology. Her coaching brings these disciplines together to develop dancers who are not only technically accomplished, but strong, resilient and physically prepared for the demands of high-level training.
